Haha, Joey Dats has been in the game for years… about time he got his recognition! Props to everyone who helped out and were part of Hip Hop in the Park - The event held a positive vibe (minus the “kicking in the head” sputter), and was filled with many creative and talented individuals. It was also nice to see a lot of young kids who were enthusiastic about learning more about the Hip Hop culture, and moreover yearning to share their talents. They are the future people!
TGG in the house!
Not that it was suprising in any way, but it was rad to finally see TGG getting the positive support & reinforcement that they deserve and have earned.. they have been working their little heinys off day n’ night to push their music out. They didn’t just wake up one day and say “Well, I guess I feel like doing music”.. I truly believe these guys were born with an innate musical talent that they are SUPPOSED to share with others.

1. You will learn lessons. You are enrolled in a full-time school called “Life on Planet Earth.” Every person or incident is your teacher.
2. There are no mistakes – only lessons. “Failures” are the stepping stones to “success.”
3. A lesson is repeated until learned. It is presented in various forms until you learn it. If you are still here, there are still lessons to be learned.
4. If you don’t learn the easy lessons, they get harder. Pain is one way life gets your attention.
5. You’ll know when you’ve learned a lesson when your actions change. Only action can transform knowledge to wisdom.
6. “There” is no better than “here.” When “there” becomes a “here,” you’ll notice another “there” that again looks better than “here.”
7. There is not right or wrong – but there are consequences. Life never judges us; it only gives opportunities to balance and learn.
8. Your life is up to you. Life provides the canvas; you do the painting.
9. Your answers lie inside you. All you need to do is look, listen, and trust.
I can’t believe I haven’t blogged about Drake yet. Maybe because I have nothing really to say but I heart him. ha ha. Honestly. I could go off on some long tangent about what I think and feel about his music, but you should really just check him out for yourself.
