It was soooo good to finally have a completely pleasure-filled weekend. I don’t remember the last time I have had the luxury of just being out with friends all day and night. With nothing holding me back, I spent my weekend eating, window shopping, eating, checking out artsy/creative things, conversing, eating. Oh, and a lot of laughter in between all that. No weighing thoughts on the mind, no school to think about. Just living in the present moment. Feels good, mutha fuckas!! (I say that with love)

It’s funny because about a week prior to this past weekend, I was itchin to be around male energy. Ladies, do you know what I mean? You love your girlfriends fresh to death, but there are those times when you just wanna kick it with your boys, and dip into the testosterone for a minute. It’s always refreshing to change your conversations up. Every time I hang with my dude friends, I always get the chance to exchange & share knowledge, decode tons of information, understand the different perspectives they have, appreciate the similarities we do have, bullshit (and party), help them with their ish (cuz God know they need it. jokes. I roll deep with the good fellas), and observe things that are unique to men.

Well, my weekend was definitely all of that and a bag of Lay’s Ketchup chips (good times). While working hard and being on your grind is beneficial to yourself in the long run, letting everything go for a weekend is just as important. It’s perfectly sane to indulge a little! We all need to chill out once in awhile… You gotta do what you gotta do to make yourself happy! Anyways, thank you gentlemen (and of course N, L, & C) for the dope weekend. It’s been a pleasure!
